How the Season Works

Foxgrove focuses on calm, small-group foraging in English woodland. Walks are paced for conversation and observation, and routes change with weather and ground.

Trained dogs lead the search. Briefings cover safe handling, site care and simple identification notes. Finds are handled by the guide to protect the patch.

After walks, you can add a tasting board or a short cook session. Suppliers are local, and menus shift with the week.

Visitor FAQs

When do walks run?

Morning and afternoon windows across the season. Slots are weather-dependent and limited to keep groups small.

Do I need to bring a dog?

No—trained dogs and handlers are on site. Please avoid feeding or calling them unless invited by the handler.

Is the terrain difficult?

Routes use uneven woodland tracks with light gradients. Sturdy footwear is recommended; ask us about gentler options.

Can I keep what we find?

A small tasting sample may be offered. Main finds are recorded and managed by the guide to protect the site.

How do I get there?

Meeting points are sent with your confirmation. For rail arrivals, pre-book local taxis at least 24 hours ahead.
